Frequently Asked Questions

Clear explanations covering API credentials, context window retention, search verification triggers, and Base44 deployment limits.

All API credentials must remain strictly on your server environment and must never be exposed to browser code. In Base44 or custom server deployments, define your keys inside environment variables (such as OPENAI_API_KEY, ANTHROPIC_API_KEY, or your custom proxy keys). The frontend client communicates exclusively with your backend endpoints, which handle authentication headers and validate requests before dispatching them to model providers.

Quick Troubleshooting

Resolving common backend connectivity and model configuration warnings on first install.

01

Verify Backend Variables

Ensure your secret keys exist in the backend runtime settings and are not marked public.

02

Inspect Token Balances

Confirm your AI provider workspace has valid credits and active rate allowance.

03

Check Network CORS

Ensure client requests target the correct origin with secure cookie or bearer tokens.
